This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0470 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for The work includes replacing all the carbon steel piping components within PPW Vaults 101B, 103 and 105 with stainless steel components; replace all existing valves with new stainless steel, full-port ball valves and insulate all piping in the vaults at the USDA Campus, located at 1920 Dayton Avenue in Ames, IA.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction. The small business size standard is $45M. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
While not required, all contractors are encouraged to satisfy their obligations under FAR 52.236-3, acknowledging you’ve taken all reasonably necessary steps to ascertain the nature of the work and satisfy yourself with the general conditions that affect your price. Vault 105 will be available to walk through by scheduling a site visit with Brandon Keith at brandon.keith@usda.gov. The other two vaults are not available until after award, due to decomination requirements.
