The Augusta Police Department will accept sealed bids for TOWING up to and including
Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Augusta City Center 16 Cony Street, Augusta,
Maine 04330, at which time they will be opened. The tow bid is effective November 1, 2025 to
October 31, 2026.
Bidders will be required to submit a proposal as described in the Format of Proposal. Bidders are
required to state any exception(s) to the specifications enclosed.
Sealed bids are to be delivered to the Office of the Development Services-1st Floor (City
Services), 16 Cony Street, Augusta, Maine 04330, in a plain envelope with the name of the
bidder in the upper left-hand corner and mark the envelope with “Bid No. 226015- Towing”
prior to the date and hour specified for bid opening. No bid will be accepted after the previously
stated time and date. Telephone, telegraph, or facsimile bids will not be accepted.
The City of Augusta reserves the right to waive all informalities in proposals, to accept any
proposal or any portion thereof, or to reject any or all bids, should it be deemed in its best
interest to do so. Except as otherwise provided by law or as specifically provided to the contrary
herein, the award of this bid shall be governed by the City’s Purchasing Ordinance (City Code,
ch. 83). The City of Augusta encourages women and minority owned businesses to submit
proposals.
