Description
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Fish and Wildlife, Section of Fisheries (MNDNR) requests proposals to facilitate the completion of a roadmap to resilience planning process for Keene Creek watershed in Duluth, Minnesota.
The Roadmap to Resilience will include the development of a robust community outreach component and the generation of a hub site to be contained on the City of Duluth’s (City) website.
Proposals will also describe a process for determining the feasibility of re-meandering a ditched section of Keene Creek from above Grand Avenue to below Irving Park. If re-meandering is feasible, a concept plan for the stream restoration would be produced. This planning process and project evaluation will be led by the MNDNR, in close coordination with the City and other natural resource management partners at the Municipal, County, State and Federal partners. The City of Hermantown will also be considered an important partner.
