RFP# 1070-2526-006 - Gardening, Food Access, and Food Literacy Programming Services for various BC Housing locations in Prince George, BC

This Request for Proposals (“the RFP”) issued by BC Housing Management Commission (“BC Housing ”) is an invitation to submit non-binding offers for the provision of Gardening, Food Access, and Food Literacy Programming Services, as further described in Appendix A - Draft Sample Tenant Engagement Program Provider Agreement, and Appendix D – Scope of Work, for various BC Housing locations in Prince George, BC.

As part of the People, Plants, and Homes program, BC Housing is seeking a service provider who is experienced in designing, planning and facilitating gardening, food access, and food literacy programs at various BC Housing buildings in Prince George. The Supplier must work from a client centered and strengths-based approach and work closely with tenants to support them to build community through gardening and food literacy where they live. The Supplier will work alongside building management staff, tenant support workers, and under the direction of the People, Plants, and Homes Supervisor (PPH Supervisor) to deliver programs to six (6) buildings in the Prince George area of British Columbia.

The Program will focus on addressing social isolation, community building, and food security needs of BC Housing tenants through a community kitchen program and garden support. The Program will aim to build participants’ capacity and align with BC Housing’s goal to maintain stable tenancies.
