Repair and Maintenance of Volvo Construction Equipment

Project Description: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a noncompetitive procurement to Alta Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Alta Construction Equipment Florida, LLC (Alta), at a total cost of $250,000.00, for ongoing and as needed maintenance, service, parts, and warranties for County owned Volvo construction equipment through December 31, 2025, for the Fleet Management Department. This procurement is being made in accordance with the County’s Procurement Policy Section 3-208(15) and is considered a noncompetitive procurement because Alta is the only authorized vendor in the State of Florida that can provide the required maintenance, service, parts, and warranties to the existing Volvo construction equipment. The services are required to ensure the County’s equipment is well maintained and in proper operation when in use. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached Vendor Quote, Dated November 14, 2024, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be directed to the primary contact listed above using the “messages” section in Bonfire for this particular procurement. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
