Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive quotes from qualified vendors for the Purchase of 33 Class 2 Southern
Yellow Pine for the Department of Transportation.
Quotes should be typed or submitted in ink and returned to the Attention of Michael Milstein, Purchasing Associate
III. Quotes should be received by 12:00 P.M. on September 11, 2026 by email to

Quotes are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. The written Quote documents supersede any verbal
or written prior communications between the parties.
Successful awarded vendor will be required to meet insurance requirements. Insurance Company must be
authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department, listed in the Department of Treasury's
Publication of Companies holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Surety on Federal Bonds and as
acceptable reinsuring companies, and must have an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher.

SPECIFICATIONS
I. GENERAL INFORMATION
The Gwinnett County Department of Transportation is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors for a striping
applicator. The Traffic Operations Division routinely installs and replaces raised pavement markers
throughout Gwinnett County as part of roadway maintenance, resurfacing projects, and safety
improvements. This equipment will become a standard tool used by the Longline Striping Crew and will
support ongoing maintenance operations.
The awarded vendor is expected to provide this machine as quickly as possible.
II. SPECIFICATIONS & SCOPE OF WORK
1. Scope of Work:
The successful vendor shall furnish and deliver 33 class 2 Southern Yellow Pine 0.15 DCOI treated, M-
20 framed, 35 ft, WQC inspected timber poles.
2. Specifications:
Minimum Requirements:
* All materials supplied under this contract shall conform strictly to the latest edition of the
Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of
Transportation Systems, with specific adherence to:
GDOT Section 861 - Piling and Round Timber

GDOT Section 863 - Preservative Treatment of Timber Products
o
GDOT Section 647 - Traffic Signal Installation
o
ANSI O5.1 or latest edition - Wood Poles: Specifications and Dimensions
o
* Southern Yellow Pine ONLY
ANSI Class 2
o
Top Circumference must be a minimum of 24 inches.
o
Must adhere to ANSI 05.1 limits and free of decay or other defects that compromise
o
the structure integrity baseline of 1,200 psi fiber stress rating.
* Must come bearing the WQC brand
* 50 -year limited warranty against fungal decay and termite damage.
The County will also require a minimum one-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials
and workmanship.

* Warranty Information: Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable vendor.
