The Town of Essex Ad Hoc Committee – Thatchbed is requesting bids from qualified companies who can carry out a complex scope of work involving dredging the river bottom around Essex Harbour and using the dredge spoils to fill large synthetic tubes (Envirotubes) to be placed adjacent to the Harbor around a tidal wetland (Thatchbed Island) to accomplish both the beneficial use of clean dredge spoils and the restoration of degraded wetland habitats.
