Through this Request for Proposal (“RFP”), the Connecticut Department of Public Health is seeking proposals to implement and maintain evidence-based tobacco control programs that follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Best Practices for Comprehensive Tobacco Control Programs. This RFP intends to award approximately $10,000,000 and includes three components for state and community interventions, cessation interventions, and surveillance/evaluation. This RFP is seeking applicants to implement and maintain programs that will reduce the rate of commercial tobacco use in Connecticut through a variety of activities. This RFP aims to reduce the use of both combustible products such as traditional cigarettes and cigars as well as non-combustible products such as electronic nicotine delivery systems and synthetic nicotine products.
