Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to acquire Ex Libris software to provide the National Defense University with a Unified Library Services Platofrm. This is a sole source action for the provision of the proprietary Ex Libris ALMA and Primo VE and Ex Libris Digital software support, which provides a unified integrated library system, discovery layer software, digital asset management systems (DAMS) and link resolvers from Ex Libris USA, Inc. (CAGE: 3TZP8).

The National Defense University requires a unified library services platform. This platform is necessary to provide a comprehensive library management system, which at minimum requires an Integrated Library System (ILS), a Discovery Layer for searching and discovering academic writing across underlying databases, a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS), and link resolvers, which is a full-text searchable library data bridge software required to connect citation links to full-text searches. This platform also must have FEDRAMP Authorization to maintain minimum security concerns. This software will maintain the minimum required integrated library system, Discover Layer, DAMs and link resolvers required by NDU.

It is the Government’s intent to issue a contract for delivery of 12-month coverage as well as four (4), options.
