Project Description: The Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake invites your company to bid on THE SALE OF EVIDENCE SURPLUS FIREARMS AND ACCESSORIES. The accessories include miscellaneous magazines and shooting accessories. Bidder must have current Federal Firearms License and required State, County and/or City licenses. Firearms are sold in “as is” condition with no warranty implied or otherwise conveyed. UPD will not ship or package items.
After award and payment, the purchaser may pick up the firearms at the Unified Police Department’s Range located at:
UPD Midvale Precinct
7912 S. Main Street
Midvale, UT 84047
The purchase has 30 days to make payment and pick up the firearms unless it is agreed upon in writing by both parties. Firearms must be picked up within 72 hours of the clearance of the cashier’s check unless agreed upon in writing by both parties.
The sale will be awarded to the most responsive, responsible bidder submitting the highest bid for all the firearms and accessories. The Unified Police Department will determine the highest bidder based upon total bid on the attached bid schedule. The Unified Police Department may reject any or all bids if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Unified Police Department. If bids are within 5%, preference may be given to a local purchaser.
Written questions shall be submitted electronically through Bonfire/U3P/U3P, the State of Utah’s Purchasing Platform, by the due date and time posted. Changes to the specifications will be released in an addendum to the “Invitation for Bid.” If a vendor does not have Bonfire/U3P, they may email questions to awatrous@updsl.org. Emailed questions will also be posted on Bonfire/U3P by UPD, with the answer, so that all vendors can see all questions and answers. Questions will not be accepted after Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at 12:00 pm MST.
Bids can be submitted via the State of Utah’s Purchasing Platform, Bonfire/U3P, by Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. MST. No responses will be accepted after the closing date and time. We are not accepting hard copy bids.
