Complete Selective Demolition as shown on the plans and specifications. Furnish and install metal stud framing and finished level 4 drywall at the RRUMC 4th floor project site, floor area 67,464 SQ FT, per specification sections:

Subcontractor to perform selective demolition, chipping/sloping and concrete repair as shown on the project plans and described in the bid package scope sheets. This work primarily takes place on the 4th level of the UCLA RRUMC, though there are selective areas on floors 3 and 5 and on the outdoor decks and along Charles Young Drive.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, responses to the University's
prequalification documents for a lump sum contract are sought from prospective Demolition, Concrete,
Framing and Drywall subcontractors (hereafter "subcontractors") for the following project:

PREQUALIFICATION OF PROSPECTIVE SUBCONTRACTORS: The University has determined that
Demolition, Concrete, Framing and Drywall subcontractors who submit bids on this project must be
prequalified.
1. Prequalification of Prime Contractors: Additionally, University has determined that Prime
Contractor bidders must also be prequalified. Prime Contractors who wish to self-perform
Demolition, Concrete, Framing and Drywall trade work shall be required to submit
subcontractor prequalification documents as specified in these prequalification documents.
University will post a list of prequalified prime contractors and prequalified subcontractors
on the University's website. Only prequalified subcontractors will be approved by University
for use in the above-designated portions of the work.
Prequalified subcontractors will be required to have the following California contractor's license(s):

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Overall Project Description:
UCLA Health proposes to convert the west, east, and north wings of the fourth floor of Ronald
Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRUMC) from Behavioral Health to Medical/Surgical spaces to
expand inpatient bed capacity by up to 103 beds. The project will also add a new patient unit to the
administrative wing on the south side of the building and will expand the north unit into the
administrative bridge connecting the north of the building. The project will upgrade the building
infrastructure to support acute care needs and the additional beds.
The project will renovate approximately 67,400 gsf of the 115,600 gsf on the fourth floor to
accommodate the proposed program, including alteration, replacement, and upgrades throughout
the affected areas of the fourth-floor building systems. Much of the existing infrastructure will be
reused while providing all code-required spaces and maintaining operational efficiencies. The
alterations will address Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, changes associated with
building system upgrades and operating efficiencies, sustainability, safety, and security.
Pneumatic Tube System Design/Build: Bidders shall provide Pneumatic Tube design/build services
for modifications to the existing Pneumatic Tube system (hereafter "Design/Build Work").
The Anticipated Contract Value is $98,954,000.

will be conducted on March 20, 2026 beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. Only subcontractors who
participate in the Conference in its entirety will be allowed to submit prequalification documents
and, if prequalification is achieved, submit bids on the Project. Participants must arrive at or before
the above-specified time. Persons arriving later than said time will not be allowed to submit

1. Attendee shall be a staff member of the subcontractor's firm who will be actively
involved in responding to this Prequalification, and who is highly knowledgeable of
the firm's potential response to the prequalification criteria.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference via ZOOM: The mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be
conducted via ZOOM and shall begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Participants must log onto the ZOOM

office in a sealed envelope, or uploaded to the UCLA Planroom website, no later than:

NOTE: Only hard copy submittals or submittals uploaded to the UCLA Planroom website will be
accepted. Oral, telephonic, electronic mail (e-mail), facsimile, or telegraphic Prequalification
Questionnaires are invalid and will not be accepted. Only University's Prequalification
Questionnaire (and associated documents) will be accepted. University reserves the right (but is
not obligated) to request, receive, and evaluate supplemental information after the above time and
date at its sole determination.
Any person or entity not satisfied with the outcome of the prequalification must file a writ
challenging the outcome within 10 calendar days from the date of the University's written notice
regarding prequalification determination. Any assertion that the outcome of the prequalification
process was improper will not be a ground for a bid protest.

All information submitted for prequalification evaluation will be considered official information acquired in
confidence, and the University will maintain its confidentiality to the extent permitted by law.

The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code.
No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance
of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to
Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
The successful Prequalified subcontractor shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any
labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour)
and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
