Clear Creek County, Colorado (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of 7 metal standing pistol benches for a new public shooting range.
The Project includes the following work:

1. Scope
Provide all labor, materials, fabrication, welding, surface preparation, powder coating, and related work necessary to manufacture metal shooting stands in accordance with the project drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
2. Minimum Material Requirements
Steel Materials
-
Structural steel tubing,sheet metal, and shapes shall be new material meetingminimumASTM standards,minimum material thickness unless otherwise noted:

12 gaugeminimum for sheet steel

Uprights/legs: 11 gauge minimum
-
Baseplatemountingcomponents:1/4inch minimum

Material shall be free from excessive rust, scale, laminations, warping, or surface defects.
Hardware
-
Bolts, nuts, and washers shall be zinc-plated orequivalent rust resistantmaterial orcoating.

All threaded fasteners shall include locking features or lock washers.
3. Fabrication Requirements
-
Fabrication shall conform to recognized industry standards and best practices.
-
Components shall be accurately cut, fitted, and assembled tomaintaindimensional consistency.
-
Sharp edges and burrs shall be removed.
-
Holes and slots shall be cleanlydrilled, punchedorplasmacut and free from excessive slag.
-
Assemblies shall be square, level, and free from visible distortion.
4. Welding Requirements

Welding shall conform to current AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel.

5. Surface Preparation
Prior to coating, all steel surfaces shall be properly prepared as follows:

Remove oil, grease, dirt, weld spatter, oxidation, and contaminants.

Surface profile shall be suitable for powder coat adhesion per coating manufacturer recommendations.
6. Powder Coat Finish Requirements
Coating System

Apply thermoset polyester powder coating suitable for exterior industrial use.

Coating shall provide resistance to:

Moisture

Abrasion

Corrosion
Finish Quality

Final finish shall be:

Uniform in color and texture

Free of runs, pinholes, fisheyes, blistering, bare spots, or contamination.

All edges, corners, welds, and concealed surfaces shall receive complete coverage.

Standard color:(color)semi-gloss unless otherwise specified.
7. Inspection and Acceptance

Clear Creek Countyreserves the right to inspect materials, quality, dimensions, and coating finish prior to acceptance.

Productsexhibitingdefects, coating failure, excessive warping, or poor workmanship may be returned for repair.
8. Warranty
-
Coating adhesion for a minimum period of one (1) year from delivery under normal use conditions.
-
Warranty shall exclude damage caused by abuse, improper installation, or impact.
