The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source award with the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) for a healthcare technology management professional organization institutional membership.
AAMI will provide a healthcare technology management professional organization institutional membership and 24/7 access to the most recently published version of all AAMI standards and guidance documents for all VHA staff as well as 300 VHA HTM Job Postings for VHA HTM openings nationwide inclusive of the ability to join healthcare technology management professional organization Standards committees and workgroups that establish guidance and standards relating the medical equipment / clinical system management within and external to VHA.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 813920 โ Professional Organizations is most appropriate for this requirement. The size standard is: $23.5 million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is U005 โ Education/Training โ tuition/Registration/Membership Fees.
The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. ยง 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 13.106 and 13.501. This notice of intent to sole source is to comply with the requirements of FAR 5.201(b).
VA will make publicly available the justification required by 6.303-1 as required by 10 U.S.C. 3204(f) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(f) within 14 days after contract award.
