Description


The Authority has more than 39 medium-voltage motors raging from 50 to 3,250 hp and from 450 to 1,200 rpm, many of which are coupled to gearboxes and mechanical drive systems. CCMWA is looking to qualify up to two (2) providers to provide on-call medium-voltage and gearbox maintenance services.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS
The Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority (CCMWA) hereby requests separate sealed Proposals from
qualified Providers for the On-Call Electric Motor and Rotating Equipment Services Program. This submission
will assist CCMWA in qualifying up to two Providers to provide on-call medium-voltage motor maintenance
and rotating equipment services. No minimum or maximum amount of work is guaranteed under the
solicitation, and work will be procured on an "as-needed" basis.
Failure to comply with the directions listed in this RFP, or omission of requested information could result in
disqualification of your firm's proposal. Proposals are to be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on
the envelope:
"Proposal - On-Call Electric Motor and Rotating Equipment Services Program"

The proposals and pricing information will be received at the offices of the Cobb County-Marietta Water
Authority:

One (1) unbound original (designated as original) and three (3) bound copies of your proposal should be
submitted to CCMWA no later than 2:00 PM on the closing date. Proposals received after the deadline will be
returned to the sender unopened. All copies of the proposal must be identical. The full cost of proposal
preparation is to be borne by the proposed firm. Proposals must be signed in ink by a company official that
has authorization to commit company resources. Sole responsibility rests with the Provider to see that their
proposal is received on time at the above stated location. Proposals sent by telegraphic and/or electronic
devices are not acceptable and will be rejected upon receipt. Providers are expected to allow adequate time
for delivery of their proposal either by hand delivery, postal service, or other means.
All questions concerning the Request for Proposal should be submitted in writing by 12:00 p.m. on April 16,
2026, to CCMWA's Procurement Coordinator at procurement@ccmwa.org. Where appropriate, CCMWA
responses to formal questions will also be in writing and will be distributed to all Providers on our record as
having received a copy of the Request for Proposal. In each case, CCMWA will determine whether a
response is appropriate or necessary.
Proposals submitted are not publicly available until after award by the Cobb County-Marietta Water
Authority Board. All proposals and supporting materials as well as correspondence related to this Request
for Proposal become the property of CCMWA when received. Any proprietary information contained in the
submittal should also be indicated. However, a general indication that the entire contents or a major portion
of the proposal is proprietary will not be honored.

All applicable State of Georgia and Federal laws, City and County ordinances, licenses, and
regulations of all agencies having jurisdiction shall apply to the Provider and services throughout
and incorporated here by reference. The agreement with the selected Provider, and all
questions concerning the execution validity or invalidity, capacity, and performance of the
Agreement, shall be interpreted in all respects in accordance with the laws of the State of
Georgia.
