Project Description: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received online by Whitpain Township via the PennBid Program (www.pennbid.net) for the 2026 HARLEY DAVIDSON POLICE MOTORCYCLE CONTRACT until 10:00 AM prevailing time, Monday, April 20, 2026 at which time they will be electronically opened on the PennBid website.
The Bids will be received for the following Contract:
CONTRACT NO. PD-26-1 2026 HARLEY DAVIDSON POLICE MOTORCYCLE CONTRACT
The contract involves (a) the purchase of two (2) 2026 Harley Davidson Road Glide Police Motorcycles (FLTRXP), (b) delivery to the Township Police Department, (c) PA tags and registration and related accessories, (d) trade-in of either one, both or neither of the two existing 2017 Harley Davidson FLHTP Whitpain Township owned Police Motorcycles.
Sets of the Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained on the PennBid website.
All proposals shall be submitted in accordance with INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of Whitpain Township in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security.
Whitpain Township reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid, to reject any and all bids, or award any bid in the best interest of the Township. The Township reserves the right to divide the awards among bidders or to award all items to one Vendor.
A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled.
Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants.
