Project: Rehabilitation of 1223 Pickering Street, Ogdensburg, NY

Background:

The City of Ogdensburg is seeking a qualified consultant to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of the former retail store at 1223 Pickering Street into an ACE Hardware Store. The project is partially funded through the Restore New York program, with oversight from the Empire State Development Corporation (NYS ESD).

Scope of Work:

The selected consultant will be responsible for the following tasks, but not limited to:

• Preliminary and Final Engineering Design: Develop detailed plans, specifications, and design documents for the project, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, architectural, structural, lighting, signage, parking, landscaping, and stormwater management.
• Permitting and Site Plan Review: Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities and agencies.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire project, including construction bidding, permitting, and construction management.
• Coordination: Coordinate with the City of Ogdensburg, NYS ESD, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in delivering retail renovation projects using grant funds.
• Demonstrated expertise in engineering disciplines relevant to the project (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, architecture, structural).
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Familiarity with the Restore New York program and its guidelines.

• References and testimonials.
• Ability to provide M/WBE participation.
