Reliable emergency communications depend on continuous, uninterrupted power at each county radio site. During utility outages caused by storms, wildfires, equipment failures, or scheduled maintenance activities, loss of commercial power can immediately disable critical 911 and public safety radio infrastructure. Several of the listed radio sites currently lack permanent standby power systems, resulting in operational risk and reduced system resilience.
To ensure system reliability and maintain uninterrupted radio service for emergency responders, each site requires the installation of a dedicated standby generator and associated Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Installing standardized 24kW Generac generator units across the identified locations will provide consistent, code-compliant backup power capabilities that meet operational demands, align with manufacturer and electrical requirements, and support long‑term maintenance.
The following scope of work outlines the required turnkey installation activities, site‑specific considerations, and testing requirements necessary to place each generator into fully operational service.
