Overview
The County of Tuolumne ("County") through its Office of Emergency Services is seeking proposals for the role of a single dedicated full-time Project Manager to manage our Tuolumne County Wildfire Mitigation Home Hardening Project ("Project"). The ideal candidate is a responsible, personable, mission-driven and qualified professional.
In partnership with California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) and the County of Tuolumne, the California Wildfire Mitigation Program, Home Hardening Grant Initiative objectives are to reduce the threat to life and property in our community's urban/wildland interface. Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services ("Program Director") will serve as the lead implementing agency.
The Grant funded Project will serve Ponderosa Hills / Mira Monte subdivisions with a goal of hardening approximately 415 homes during the span of the Project.
The Project Manager shall perform duties which include, but are not limited to:

Providing critical outreach and education to residents within the project area about wildfire loss prevention and mitigation opportunities.

Performing site assessments within project area for identification of wildfire retrofit and defensible space, which may reduce wildfire ignition risks on private residential properties.

Manage contractors and provide oversight of performing of home hardening and defensible space activities on residential structures within the project area to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Maintain scheduled office presence and participate in regular meetings with Program Director, staff, and agencies involved in the Project.

Manage applicable Project budget in traditional categories of performance to meet financial objectives and Project deliverables to timeline.
