Synopsis:
|
|
The City seeks firm pricing for testing and recharging of fire extinguishers, range hood suppression systems, breathing cylinders and fire hoses located in various City buildings and fire extinguishers in vehicles on an ‘as required’ basis as per the stated terms, conditions and specifications stated in this solicitation document.
Submissions clearly marked "COR7075 - Fire Extinguisher Services." Please refer to section 1.4 for the submission deadline and other important timelines.
Unless otherwise indicated, and subject to applicable exceptions and exclusions, this procurement is covered by:
•Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement
•Chapter 19 of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement
•Article 14 of the New West Partnership Trade Agreement

Locations
The products are located in City buildings and vehicles. A detailed listing of extinguishers will be provided to the selected respondent.
Site Examination
The respondent must examine the place of work and surrounding properties before responding to RFQ so that the respondent is completely familiar with the place of work, all the surrounding property, the local conditions, the equipment and facilities needed (both preliminary and during the progress of the work), the means of access to the place of work, the need for on-site accommodation, all necessary information as to the risks, contingencies and other circumstances that may effect the respondent or may in any way effect the work. The respondent is solely responsible for obtaining all the information needed to properly prepare the RFQ response.
Claims for additional costs will not be entertained with respect to conditions which would reasonably have been ascertained by an inspection of the site prior to the RFQ closing.
MANDATORY TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected respondent must perform inspection, testing and maintenance of all extinguishers in conformance with current NFPA 10 Standards.
