Project Description:
Snow College is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to establish a purchase order with the responsive and responsible vendor offering the lowest total cost for furnishing, delivering, and installing commercial ice-making equipment, including all adapters, mounting hardware, interface kits, and attachment components required to integrate the ice makers with Snow College's existing Pepsi dispensing equipment.
The requested equipment shall consist of:
• Two (2) modular crescent cube ice makers ( Hoshizaki Model No. KM‐520MAJ or approved equivalent)
• One (1) modular nugget/cubelet ice maker ( Hoshizaki Model No. F‐422MAK‐C or approved equivalent)
• Installation services
Any alternate product proposed must meet or exceed all specifications listed herein. Vendors submitting alternate products shall provide complete manufacturer literature and specification sheets demonstrating compliance.
The awarded vendor shall verify compatibility with Snow College's existing Pepsi dispensing equipment and shall provide all adapters, attachment kits, interface hardware, mounting components, and related accessories necessary to provide a complete and fully functional installation.
Scope of Work:
Vendor shall remove and properly dispose of the existing ice machines and shall furnish, deliver, install, test, and place into operation commercial ice-making equipment at Snow College.
All work, including removal and disposal of existing equipment, delivery, installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of the new equipment, shall be completed no later than August 14, 2026.
Required Features and Components
Hoshizaki Model No. KM‐520MAJ or equivalent Cube Ice Makers (Quantity: 2)
• Modular commercial ice maker design
• Air-cooled self-contained condenser
• Minimum production capacity of 450 pounds per 24 hours
• Stainless steel exterior construction
• All required Pepsi dispenser attachment kits, adapters, interface hardware, and mounting components necessary for complete installation and operation
Hoshizaki Model No. F‐422MAK‐C or equivalent Nugget Ice Maker (Quantity: 1)
• Modular commercial nugget/cubelet ice maker design
• Minimum production capacity of 360 pounds per 24 hours
• Stainless steel exterior construction
• All required Pepsi dispenser attachment kits, adapters, interface hardware, and mounting components necessary for complete installation and operation
Insurance Requirements
• Commercial General Liability (CGL)
• $1,000,000 each occurrence
• $2,000,000 general aggregate
A Certificate of Insurance evidencing the required coverage shall be provided to Snow College prior to the commencement of any work.
Snow College shall be named as an Additional Insured on all applicable liability policies. Coverage shall be primary and non-contributory with respect to any insurance maintained by Snow College.
Contract Requirements
The successful vendor shall be required to execute Snow College's standard contract agreement prior to the commencement of any work, delivery of equipment, or installation activities.
A sample copy of the Snow College contract is included in the Files section of this bid for review purposes. Submission of a bid constitutes acknowledgment of and willingness to execute the contract if awarded.
No work shall begin until the contract has been fully executed by both parties and all required insurance documentation has been received and approved by Snow College.
Delivery Requirements:
Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Snow College, Utah. All shipping, handling, freight, delivery, installation, startup, and related charges shall be included in the bid price
Warranty:
Vendor shall provide manufacturer standard warranty information with the bid response.
Evaluation of Quotes: Each quote received shall be evaluated for responsiveness in as outlined in the Utah Procurement Code. This IFB shall be evaluated by the objective criteria described in this IFB. Quotes submitted must comply with the specification identified in this IFB.
Multiple or alternate quotes will not be accepted. If a vendor submits multiple or alternate quotes, Snow College will only accept the bidder's primary bid and will not accept any other bids constituting multiple or alternate bids.
Snow College Purchasing may solicit other quotes via email, phone, or other methods as permitted by the Utah Procurement Code or applicable Administrative Rules.
