Description

The VA Puget Sound Health Care System, including Seattle and American Lake campuses, operate complex potable and utility water systems serving patient care, sterile processing, dental operations, cooling towers, and support facilities.



Due to the risk of waterborne pathogens, including Legionella, and the need to maintain compliance with VHA directives, CDC guidance, CMS requirements, Joint Commission standards, and industry standards, the VA requires contractor support for development, implementation, validation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Water Management Program.



This contract establishes services necessary to support prevention of healthcare-associated waterborne disease, scald prevention, critical water quality management, and environmental testing throughout VA Puget Sound
