Description
NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT
Description of the Requirement:
The Department of National Defence/Canadian Armed Forces and the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), through its Ottawa Research Center, has a requirement for the supply of quantum optics laboratory equipment to conduct innovative experiments that probe the impact of quantum phenomena on sensing and communication capabilities. The laboratory will be outfitted with essential quantum optics equipment, including precision lasers, nonlinear crystals, and single-photon detectors, that form the core infrastructure for advanced experimental research.
The requirement is intended to result up to 16 contracts with a duration of 1 year. The requested delivery timeframe is within 1 year from the contract award date. Multiple deliveries will be acceptable.

Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement:
There will be no set-aside for Aboriginal businesses. This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
Requirement Details:
Requirements and Deliverables are detailed in Annex Statement of Requirement of the Solicitation of Offers.
The Mandatory Criteria are detailed in the Solicitation of Offers.
The basis of selection shall be the lowest evaluated price with Mandatory Technical Criteria.
The Crown retains the rights to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
There is currently no contract in place for this service.
DND reserves the right not to award a contract, regardless of the proposals received. Where this notice and the Solicitation of Offers differ, the Solicitation of Offers shall prevail.
