Statement of Work
Guldmann Ceiling Lifts for CLC
Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center
The Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center located in Wichita, KS is seeking to acquire and install Guldmann GH3+ (Brand Name Only) overhead lift systems, as outlined in the Scope of Work and Salient Characteristics sections. These lift systems will be installed in conjunction with a two-phase construction project in the Community Living Center (CLC), including an addition (Phase 1) and a renovation (Phase 2). All work must be conducted in accordance with Contract 36C25521C0012 and coordinated with the project’s Construction General Contractor. If changes occur with the construction contract, this contract may subsequently change.
All patient rooms with attached bathrooms and bathing rooms will be equipped with overhead ceiling tracks and motorized hoists, as outlined in Table 1. Due to the structure of the building, some locations require wall-mounted supports, instead of ceiling-mounted, also detailed in Table 1.

When rooms or bathing rooms have attached bathrooms, the room and bathroom should be one system (meaning the tracks in the room and bathroom should connect and only utilize one lift motor) whenever possible.
The facility will reuse 30 770 lb GH3 Guldmann lift motors. All other lift motors will need to be purchased.

Delivery and other services directly involving VA personnel shall occur during Robert J. Dole VAMC normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. (CST), Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Any scheduled work with VA personnel at the Government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). VA follows all Federal holidays that are set by law (USC Title 5 Section 6103).
The Government hereby provides notice and Contractor hereby acknowledges receipt that Government personnel observe the listed days as holidays:

*If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, for most Federal employees, the following Monday will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes.

1. Any other day designated by Executive Order;
2. Any other day designated by the President’s Proclamation; and
3. Any other day designated by Federal Statute.
Hours of Operation for work to be coordinated with the Construction General Contractor, including installation, will be at the Construction General Contractor’s discretion.
