Solicitation Summary
The Department successfully replaced the traditional in-person fairs with a new virtual environment starting with the benefit plan year 2021. The virtual environment extends benefit and wellness information to each employee and their spouse throughout the open enrollment period and continues through the plan year. This virtual environment was provided through a microsite (found at
https://mymdbenefits.com/medical-benefits
) developed under a sole source contract with the Contractor during calendar year 2020.
Due to the State’s virtual success for plan years 2021 through 2024, and the continued use of hybrid work for State employees,, the Employee Benefits Division (EBD) will continue to host open enrollment via the microsite throughout the duration of the contract.
