Project Description: Weber County (“County”) is seeking proposals from well qualified and experienced contractors (“Proposer”) that can provide all services associated with Construction Management (pre-construction design phase) and General Contracting for constructing a new Weber County Jail Medical & Mental Health Housing Wing (“Medical Wing”), and all associated site improvements (“Project”). The site for the Jail is located at 1400 Depot Drive, in Ogden City, Utah. Refer to Attachment A for a Project Vicinity Map.
The County, by means of a CM/GC delivery method, is working with GSBS Architects (GSBS) to carry out this Project. As conceptually designed, the Medical Wing will provide approximately 42,800 ft2 of gross building area within a main-level footprint of approximately 15,000 ft2. It comprises medical staff space, medical infirmary, clinic, dental operatory, pharmacy, holding, control, male housing with rec. area, female housing with rec. area, and other general storage space and basic amenities found in a correctional facility’s medical and mental health facility. The building design also includes specialized technology, equipment, and systems typically found in a law enforcement facility that provides medical services. This specialized technology and equipment shall be compatible with the existing facility technology and equipment. Refer to Attachment F for concept drawings that illustrate the Project goal. The Budgeted cost of the project is approximately $22 Million (Budget). The goal is to identify a contractor that can deliver high-quality pre-construction phase and construction services while adhering to the Project’s Budget.
