Food Services for Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received until 2:30 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2026 in the office of the Lorain
County Commissioners Fiscal Department in the Lorain County Board of Commissioners
Conference Room A on the 4th floor of the Lorain County Administration Building, 226 Middle
Avenue, Elyria, Ohio for the Provision of Food Services for Lorain/Medina Community Based
Correctional Facility. All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening to be held
immediately thereafter.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 9:00 AM, Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the site,
9892 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
Bidders may obtain official electronic bid documents, plans and specifications free of charge by
e-mailing Jessica Burns, Fiscal Administrator at jburns@loraincounty.us. Bids must be
accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the
Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company
or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal shall contain
the full name or names of persons and bidders who submit the proposal and shall be enclosed
in a sealed envelope marked "PROVISION OF FOOD SERVICES FOR LORAIN/MEDINA
COMMUNITY BASED CORRECTIONAL FACILITY"
The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any, and all bids, and to waive any
informalities or irregularities if it is deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so. Any
interpretation, correction, or modification to the specifications desired shall be submitted in
writing to the Lorain County Administrator, 226 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio 44035, and must be
received at least seven (7) days prior to the date of the bid opening.
