RFP # 2399-01 Workers’ Compensation / Employer’s Liability Insurance

The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) invites all interested parties to submit proposals to provide Workers’ Compensation/Employer’s Liability insurance under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to all of its employees. Please note that proposals will only be accepted from independent insurance brokers or agents. No proposals will be accepted from insurance companies that only seek to provide coverage on a “direct writer” basis. Proposals will however, be accepted from such “direct writer” insurers if they are offered through an independent broker or agent.
The coverage shall be a TWELVE (12) month insurance program effectiveNovember 1, 2025 to November 1, 2026. Specifications outlining the desired coverage categories and limits are contained herein. Proposals must be received at the offices of the Boston Housing Authority, Procurement Office, by hard copy hand delivery to the Bids/Proposals Drop-Off Box located in the lobby of 52 Chauncy Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02111-9938no later than 2:00 PM ET on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Important Instruction Regarding Agent/Broker Market Assignment:

All responding brokers and agents must submit to the BHA a listing of those insurers that they expect to secure proposals from. Such listing must be provided to THOMAS RYAN, BHA Risk Management Department by 2:00PM ET on Friday, October 17, 2025. Please email him at tom.ryan@bostonhousing.org .

The BHA will not accept or review proposals received after the designated submission deadline and reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to accept a proposal, in part rather than completely, and to waive any irregularities or informalities.
