| Project Title: | 30-24206-DSS County Administration Reimbursement System Modernization Project (CARS) |
| Description: | The current set of mainframe systems (3 separate systems) that we use to determine cost allocation and to reimburse county DSS agencies for time spent administering benefit programs for NC citizens is at end of life and at critical point of failure. The process for how we capture and determine costs is outdated and resource intensive; and the current system is not compatible with the new NC Financial System (NCFS) recently implemented by the Office of State Controller (replacing NCAS). DHHS has received the funding needed to proceed with the replacement project and will seek matching federal funds for approximately 34% of project funding. |
