The 2026 Regular Session House Bill 500 directs the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, Department of Juvenile Justice, to issue a Request for Information to solicit input and assess feasibility regarding the planning, development, and delivery of high-acuity mental health treatment services for juveniles. DJJ welcomes information that may strengthen the remaining design process, any Request for Bids process for construction of this facility, as well as any Request for Proposals process for medical service providers. If the Vendor would like to provide information on alternative methods of construction, delivery of services, or contracting for either, they may so do.
