Description
Roy Pray Portal Repairs
SPECIAL NOTICE: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Bureau of Land Management intends to issue an award to an 8(a) company named North Wind Construction Services, LLC, 1425 Higham St., Idaho Falls, ID 83402
The Roy Pray Mine Site has been determined to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). A work plan will need to be developed that does not affect the site's eligibility and integrity. A BLM approved archaeological monitor will be required to monitor the activities.
Excavate the portal area and then install a properly designed and constructed portal structure and replacement gate, with steel sets extending from approximately Station 0+84 to Station 1+12.5. It is recommended that these sets be lagged with steel channel or other steel material and that cavities overhead be filled with polyurea silicate void filling foam to prevent impact loading. As a matter of routine safety, the entire adit should be thoroughly scaled and afterwards, any rockfall or debris on the invert should be removed to eliminate unnecessary tripping hazards. Existing tripping hazards should be cleaned up as well. Rockbolting and meshing should be installed as an appropriate risk reduction measure to protect personnel during safety inspections.
NAICS code is 562910 Remediation Services with size standard of $25 Mil. This Special Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. For questions, please contact Contract Specialist: Kerry Spetter via email at kspetter@blm.gov.
