Your firm is invited to submit a Bid under seal to the Owner, Trout Unlimited and Landowner, USDA Forest
Service for the road and stream crossing replacement project. The Owner will receive Bids until 1:00 pm
eastern daylight time on June 30, 2026, at U.P. Engineers & Architects Office, Attn: Jeremy J. Gagnon, 707
Ashmun Street, Sault Ste. Marie, MI., 49783. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Description: Per the construction documents, provide and install new stream crossings at three (3) locations
per the plans and specifications.
Construction Documents shall be available by contacting UPEA at (906) 635-0511 or jgagnon@upea.com.
Bidders may purchase documents from UPEA for a non-refundable handling fee of $50 for a hard copy or
free of charge for a pdf. Documents will also be available for viewing at the office of the Architect.
A voluntary Pre-bid Conference and visit to Project site has been arranged for Bidders at 10:00 AM eastern
daylight time, on June 11, 2026. The meeting will begin at Valley Spur Hiking Area. (See attached map on
the next page).
Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of a sum no less
than five (5) percent of the Bid Price.
Submit your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. Refer to other
bidding requirements described in Document 00 21 14. Bid Form reflects a base bid, allowing for the project
to be awarded within the project budget.
The Owner and Landowner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part. The
Owner and Landowner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in any or all bids and to
make such award as it deems, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the Owner and Landowner.
Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after
submission.
