As a result of shortages in assigned Military Cooks and simultaneous operational requirements, Fort Riley’s Military Cook population has been depleted below the minimum manning levels required to operate Warrior Restaurants. The shortfall in Cook capacity results challenges meeting meal timeliness, quality, and consistency standards within Fort Riley’s Warrior Restaurant(s). The contractor shall provide Cooks to augment Army Culinary Specialist (Military Occupational Skill 92G) in preparing food in the Warrior Restaurants (aka Dining Facilities) on Fort Riley. The contracted “Line” Cooks may vary in number and will be led by a contracted “Lead” Cook. The team of Lead Cook and Line Cooks will comprise a shift; the Warrior Restaurant will normally require two shifts per day. The Cooks will prepare food in the garrison area of Fort Riley, KS as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
