Shelter Food Supply Program

Project Description: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control (CMACC) requires a competitively procured contract to support its Shelter Food Supply Program. This program provides nutritionally appropriate food for all animals housed within CMACC facilities. The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a reliable, consistent, and cost-effective source for animal food products that supports daily shelter operations and ensures humane, high-quality care for animals in CMACC custody. CMACC operates facilities located at 8315 Byrum Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217, and 2700 Toomey Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203. Together, these facilities care for approximately 12,000 animals annually, including dogs (59%), cats (33%), and other domesticated species (8%).
