NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CITY OF NEWTON, IOWA PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Sealed bids for the work comprising the improvement as stated below must be filed before 11:00 am on July 24th, 2025; in the office of the Community Development Director, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, IA 50208
General Nature of Public Improvement:
2025 Westwood Patio Project
The 2025 Westwood Patio Project is a public improvement project aimed at enhancing the infrastructure within the City of Newton;
Grading: Minor grading to establish proper site elevations and drainage.
Footing Drain Collector Line:
178 Linear feet of 6" collector line and outlet.
2 6" cleanouts for maintenance access.
PCC Sidewalk/Path: Approximately 760 square yards for Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk/path installation.
Gas Line: Installation of approximately 183 linear feet of 1" HDPE gas service line.
The work shall commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, and shall be completed on or before October 15th, 2025.
