Disposition of City-Owned Property - 28 Sanford St, Attleboro MA

In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30B the City Of Attleboro (“the City”) is offering for sale, through this Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) for the disposition of the land with the buildings thereon, located within Bristol County at the building known and numbered as East Side Academy Building, 28 Sanford Street, Attleboro, MA 02703

Copies of the RFP and supporting documents may be obtained at the Purchasing Assistant’s Office, at Attleboro City Hall, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, MA beginning September 11, 2024 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (MWF), 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, or Friday 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.  Request for Proposals packages and documents may also be obtained by email request to For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. or download from the bottom of this advertisement.  Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, § 16, sealed proposals must be received, by mail or hand delivery, no later than Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 12:00 pm, at the Purchasing Assistant’s Office at the address listed above, at which time all proposals will be opened and publicly read.  A written register of all proposals received, which shall include the name the proposer, will be available at 12:00 p.m. on the business day following the opening.   If, at the time of the scheduled opening, the opening location is closed due to uncontrolled events, proposals will be opened at 12:00 p.m. on the next full day that the opening location is open. Proposals received after the specified time will not be considered and faxed or emailed bid proposals will not be accepted.   Delivery of proposals will be at the expense of the proposer.  Any and all damages that may occur due to packaging, shipping or untimely arrival will be the sole responsibility of the proposer.  All proposals will be taken under consideration for award of contract at a later date.  All proposals will remain in effect for a period of one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the deadline for submission, or until this RFP is cancelled, whichever occurs first.

To maintain a fair and impartial competitive process, the Selection Committee can only answer written questions. Please avoid private communication with any Selection Committee Member from the release date through the selection of Preferred Developer. Proposers who initiate private communication or attempt to violate the process outlined herein may be disqualified.

The City of Attleboro will receive in a sealed container non-price proposals - one (1) original, five (5) copies along with one (1) thumb-drive (pdf) for the sale of East Academy Building as described herein. In a separate sealed envelope, submit one (1) original of the price proposal containing complete information as requested and required by the terms of this RFP. The non-price proposals must be submitted in a sealed container marked “PROPOSAL FOR EAST ACADEMY BLDG” on the outside.
