INVITATION TO BID
ROOF REPLACEMENT AT FRETTERD CENTER
RFP# CCDRP2025-03
The County Commissioners of Caroline County are accepting bids (written quotes) for the roof replacement
at Fretterd Center (offices of Caroline County Recreation & Parks) located at 107 S. Fourth Street, Denton,
MD 21629. The scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to:
• Remove all existing asphalt shingles completely from the entire building, down to the structural deck,
approximately 55 squares. (Contractor responsible for providing dumpsters and tip fees)
• Inspect the deck and submit an inspection report.
• Install ice & weather shield around the eaves, rakes, and hip & ridges
• Install synthetic felt on the field of the roof
• Install aluminum drip edge
• Install starter shingles on eaves and rakes
• Install shingles
o 30-year GAF Timberline HDZ (Pewter gray)
• Install cap shingles at the hips & ridges
• Install pipe flashing

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on 06/24/2025 at 9:00 am at the Fretterd Center 107 S. Fourth Street, Denton, Maryland 21629. Bidders are required to attend. Questions regarding this RFP should be directed to Mark Lasocha, Park & Capital Projects at 410-479-8137 or by email at mlasocha@carolinemd.org by noon 06/27/2025.
Bids must be received in the office of the Caroline County Commissioners, located at 109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629, ATTENTION: Nicole Pearce, by no later than 9:00 am, 07/07/25, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any/or all bids.
