Demolition and Removal of Excess Building, Wilson's Creek National Battlefield (WICR)

The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to the questions asked thus far.

Q1. Do you have a current asbestos survey on the property? If so, can you please provide it to us? If not, are we required to perform a survey prior to demo? And do we need to include this cost in our proposal?

A1. There is not a current Asbestos survey on this property. Based on the year the house was built, the government is confident there is no asbestos and does not require a survey.

Q2. Has the electric to the property been disconnected? If not, are we to hire a private utility company to disconnect the power from the poles?

A2. Currently there is power. Ozark Electric will do the disconnect and pull the poles at no cost to the contractor. The awarded contractor is responsible for filling the holes and removing the wire from the weather head to the house.

Q3. Has the water, sewar, gas been disconnected? If not, are we to hire private utility companies to do the disconnects?

A3. The water source and the septic is in the Scope of Work. The house is all electric and has no gas to disconnect.

Q4. Have any HAZMATS been identified on the property? If so, please provide us with this information.

A4. No Known HAZMAT.

Q5. Is this RFP still a set aside for WOSB as it was in the original solicitation? (140P6026Q0006)

A5. This is an RFQ, not RFP. It is a total small business set-aside. Both items are addressed in the solicitation.

Q6. Is the Archeologist provided by the Department of Interior? (1.3 Existing Condition Protections: Section C)

A6. Yes, the park will have a Paraprofessional Archeologist available.

Q7. Does the asphalt driveway also need to be removed?

A7. No, only from where the concrete begins.

Q8. Do any of the structures on the property still have active electricity?

A8. See Question 2. Also, the 2 barns will continue to have power supplied from a separate power source and will not interfere with this project.

Q9. Will an asbestos/hazardous material survey be required prior to demo? If so, and abatement is required, will additional payments to the contractor be made?

A9. See Question 1.

Q10. Aside from the Well Plug Permit, will this structure require notices and demolition permits from the state of MO or Local Ordinances?

A10. No

Q11. Will the government accept estimates of tonnage of recyclable waste hauled off-site for use as clean fill (rock, concrete, brick, etc.)

A11. Yes

Q12. Can you confirm the government is willing to allow contractors to use existing water on site, provided the contractor pays for metering/costs?

A12. There is no water available on site.
