RE: ADDENDUM #3, RFP NO. 20260664, DESIGN - HARBORVIEW ROAD LIFT STATIONS, GRAVITY
SEWERS AND FORCE MAINS
Firms are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made as part of the above-named proposal and contract
documents. The following are issued to revise/clarify the proposal and contract documents, and these items shall
have the same force and effect as the original proposal and contract documents. Proposals to be submitted on
the above-specified date at Purchasing shall conform to the revisions and clarifications as listed herein.
ITEM # 1 QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q1: Will the project require subsurface utility investigations (i.e., SUE)?
A1: The Engineer of Record will be required to provide subsurface utility investigations to avoid conflicts
and to verify the location and depth of utilities at crossings and where connections to existing utilities are
being made as shown on their plans.
Q2: RP-19 Scope of Services, page 9 under Project Description. This section references water
mains. What is the scope of the potable water main design? Just service connections and meter/
BFP for the LS? If potable water distribution main design is to be included, please indicate the
locations and if the size is to be determine by Consultant or County?
A2: Potable water distribution main designs are anticipated to extend the 24" water main being installed
as part of the Harborview Road widening project north on Oak\view Drive and connecting to the existing
12" water main at the Riverfront Drive intersection and to extend the existing 12" water main on the
County's Environmental Campus at 25550 Harborview Road to the new 24" water main in Harborview
Road. All water service connections and meter/BFPs at each lift station shall be in accordance with the
Charlotte Harbor Water Association regulation.
Q3: RP-21 Background, page 10. The last paragraph on this page discussions project schedule.
Can you please clarify which project components are to be completed after the initial 270 calendar
milestone date. Is the 24-month referenced for design and permitting or also includes
construction completion?
A3: The 24 months are for design, permitting, and having the bid package ready to go to the County
Purchasing Department for the Northshore Terrace lift station.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original proposal documents of RFP
No. 20260664. Firms are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their proposal forms.
