Bid Documents will be available on Thursday, February 5, 2026, by 4:00 pm MST from the Town

of Vail Sharefile website. Access to the Sharefile site shall be gained only by emailing a request

for access to the Town of Vail to KimWhite@vail.gov with subject line “Fire Free Five at the

Gymnastics Center”. Please provide name, company name, address, phone number, email

address and trade in the body of the email. Bidders must print their own copies.

Brief Description of Work:

The project generally consists of fire free five landscape improvements through the removal and

disposal of combustible material such as grass, shrubs and limbs within five (5) feet of the

Gymnastic Center and replaced with gravel, composite lumber framing, and fabric.

Schedule:

Non-selective herbicide applications can be applied as soon as the grass comes out of winter

dormancy after or around May 11th. Grass removal and construction should be scheduled

between June 2nd 2026 - June 15th, 2026, if possible, to decrease work disruptions from the public.

Work outside of this time can be considered.
