Mandatory Site Visit
Mandatory site visits will be held on the date and time in the chart below to survey the facility and discuss the requirements of the solicitation. The site visit will commence promptly at the noted time, barring an unforeseen circumstance that results in a delay of the site visit. Attendance will be taken. The State will not be responsible to an Offeror for its failure to obtain information discussed during the site visit due to its arriving after the site visit has convened. Offerors who fail to attend the mandatory site visit will be deemed not responsive. Those who attended the region 3 site visits for SRC0000023595 or SRC0000029167 are not required to attend the site visit for SRC0000032257.

Purpose and Background
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for fire alarm testing and maintenance services for Agency -owned buildings.  The Agency seeks to award the Contract for region 3 as identified in Part 1 Scope of Work.

Scope of Work Overview
An overview of the Work is provided below.  The scope of work and requirements are provided in greater detail within Part 1, Scope of Work.

The Contractor must provide fire alarm testing and maintenance services for Agency-owned buildings, utilizing only trained technicians to perform inspections and diagnostic tests for all peripheral devices listed and currently connected to the facility life safety systems. The Agency may add or remove  systems or buildings by mutual agreement between the parties to the Contract.

Objectives
The Agency has the following objectives that it expects this Work to fulfill, and it will be the Contractor’s obligation to ensure that the personnel the Contractor provides are qualified to perform their portions of the Work:

1.    Award a Contract for region3 as identified in Part 1, Scope of Work.
2.    Perform tests on life safety systems as required;
3.    Maintain life safety systems as required;
4.    Initiate tests on life safety systems as they are required by applicable rules and laws; and
5.    Perform repairs of the life safety system and all items deemed deficient within 30 days of                       approval by the Agency to perform the repairs
