INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest, Cook and Will Counties, Illinois that sealed bids will be received for the following contract:
JULY 2026- JUNE 2027 RESIDENTIAL WATER SHUT OFF (B-BOX) REPLACEMENT
(ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT)
Sealed bids will be received until 2:30 P.M.,Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the office of the Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, Illinois, and will be publicly opened and read at that time.

This work consists of:
All mobilization, excavation, material (except as provided), labor, equipment and incidentals necessary to replace approximately 160 residential water shut offs valves (b-box’s) as requested by the Village throughout it’s fiscal year.
The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue bid forms, and specifications to any person, firm,
or corporation that it considers to be unqualified. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided.
No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Village.
This contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements. No less than the prevailing wage as
determined by the
Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to any worker performing work
under this contract.
The contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance and guaranty of indemnity to the Village of Park Forest, Illinois against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of himself, his employees, or his agents during the construction of said improvement and until said improvement has been fully accepted as complete by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest.
