Prescription Safety Glasses

The County of San Mateo is requesting proposals from qualified vendors and firms to provide a comprehensive program for safety glasses for employees engaged in a wide range of job functions. The goal is to ensure employees have the necessary protective eyewear to adhere to industry standards.

The County provides safety glasses once a year to employees covered by CCR Title 8, Subchapter 7, Group 2, Article 10, Section 3382. The program will support employee health and workplace safety by offering prescription and non-prescription eyewear solutions tailored to industrial safety requirements.

The selected vendor must deliver a streamlined, accessible program that ensures compliance with occupational safety standards, and accommodates diverse vision needs across the County’s workforce. Vendors should demonstrate experience in administering similar programs, the ability to provide high-quality eyewear, and the infrastructure to support large-scale employee access and service.
