Notice of Intent to Sole Source
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific intends to award a firm-fixed price, non-personal service contract for Clinical Reference Laboratory Testing Services for Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (BDAACH), South Korea which includes comprehensive support generally encompassing the American Medical Association’s Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding within the range of 80047 to 88399, and includes, but is not limited to, support across multiple clinical and anatomic pathology disciplines to include chemistry hematology and coagulation, urinalysis, transfusion medicine, microbiology, molecular, histology, cytology, and genetic testing in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The anticipated period of performance is from 01 March 2025 through 30 June 2025 (4-months).
The proposed acquisition is intended as a sole source to Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp), the current IDIQ contractor for the Clinical Reference Laboratory Testing Services contract. The contract has reached its ceiling amount and a modification to increase it is in process. In the interim, a contract is needed to continue services and meet mission requirements for patient care. As the current vendor, Laboratory Corporation of America already has a proven infrastructure in place and therefore is the only source that can meet the short suspense for these services without loss of service to BDAACH and a negative impact to patient care and safety. This notice is neither a request for quote nor a solicitation of offerors; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code for this procurement is 621511 and the annual size standard is $41.5 Million.
