This addendum shall be a part of the Plans, Contract Documents and Specifications to the same extent as
though it were originally included therein, and it shall supersede anything contained in the Plans, Contract
Documents, and Specifications with which it might conflict. This addendum, including all attachments, shall
become part of the Contract and all provisions of the Contract shall apply thereto. The time provided for
completion of the Contract has not been changed as noted in this addendum. Acknowledgement of receipt of
this addendum must be noted in the appropriate section of the Bid Form and included with the Contract
Documents.
The bid submission deadline is not revised as part of this Addendum.
A. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Question: Does the quantity of unclassified excavation account for the typical section of subgrade, base
and asphalt? My quantities calculate far less than the 3,250 CY provided.
Answer: The unclassified excavation quantity accounts for the excavation required for the proposed
typical section of asphalt, base course and stabilized subbase.
2. Question: According to the bid schedule provided for the RFP mentions above, there is a line item for
unsuitable excavation with a quantity of 325 CY. Where is this material located withing the site? It is not
depicted on the plans.
Answer: The Unsuitable Excavation pay item is a contingency item in case poor material is encountered
during excavation and the unsuitable material must be removed and replaced.
