Overview

Summary

Thank you for your interest in the 27th & Chase Wetwell HVAC Project with the Gary Sanitary District.

This project involves the installation of two (2) air handler units and two (2) condenser units within an active wetwell environment. The work will require a high level of coordination, technical capability, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

This is a hazardous location, with the presence of sewer gases including H₂S, LEL, oxygen variance, and CO, and all work must be performed in compliance with:

  • OSHA confined space and safety requirements

  • IDEM regulations for wastewater environments

  • NEC and NEMA standards for explosion-proof equipment

Our goal with this process is to ensure all contractors have a clear, consistent understanding of the scope, risks, and expectations before submitting proposals. We are looking for qualified contractors who can deliver a safe, compliant, and fully operational HVAC system in a challenging environment.

We appreciate your participation and encourage open communication, questions, and collaboration throughout this process to ensure project success.
