The work consists of modifications to the existing 2.4-kV generator switchgear automation system that includes several obsolete components that are failing, and replacement parts are no longer available. In addition, the existing components are proprietary and based on a particular manufacturer's design, which is hard to maintain. This project will replace the automation system with the District's standard platform, utilizing Allen-Bradley PLC and also replace aging components within the switchgear, and all appurtenant work.
