Description

The Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP), Western Currency Facility (WCF) Contracting Branch, Services Division is issuing this Pre-Solicitation Notice for the acquisition of Security Operation and Maintenance Services at the WCF in Fort Worth, TX. This requirement will be a 100% total set aside for Small Business concerns under NAICS 561621 Security Systems Services size standard is $25.0 Million, and PSC N063 Installation of Equipment -Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems. Please note:




  • In order to be eligible for award, the business must be registered as a Small Business under the appropriate NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.SAM.gov .

  • Please verify that both your DUNS #, Cage Code are current and valid in the System for Award Management (SAM).



This acquisition will be awarded as a fixed price, services contract for the everyday operations and maintenance of the security equipment and components at the Western Currency Facility, which is a 24-hour facility. The type of security equipment includes cameras, card readers, locks, safes, alarms and systems, x-ray machines, metal detectors, etc. This action will also include the repair and replacement of damaged or outdated security equipment and components (materials, parts, equipment). This contract includes 24-hour preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency maintenance of the WCF Integrated Security System (ISS) and ISS components.



This acquisition is anticipated to be a Base plus 4 option periods (Year, 12 month period) contract, not exceeding a period of performance of 5 years. The anticipated Period of Performance is April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2029.



The anticipated solicitation period will be on/around January 29, 2024 through February 29, 2024. Offerors are reminded to carefully review solicitation documents issued as criteria is stated in the solicitation and shall govern.





Pre-Proposal Site Visit



BEP WCF, Physical Security Branch is anticipating hosting a Pre-Proposal Site Visit during the solicitation phase to allow offerors to obtain a better understanding of site conditions and the work required, as well as gather quality information about the solicitation and familiarize offerors with the procuring agency. The Site Visit is tentatively scheduled on February 16, 2024 at 9000 Blue Mound Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76131. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend.
