Wheatley Harbour Repairs and Electrical Upgrades - Ontario
Project Description:
The project site is located in Wheatley, Ontario, on the north shore of Lake Erie approximately 15 km east of Leamington Ontario. The site can be accessed at coordinates 42°03'44.4"N 82°27'52.8"W
The purpose of this contract is to supply and install new electrical distribution panels, electrical power pedestals and lighting at the Wheatley commercial fishing harbour located on Kay Ave.
The work under this contract covers:
Base Bid:
.1 Removal and disposal of existing distribution panels and power pedestals
.2 Supply & Installation of new distribution panels and associated works; includes underground junction boxes, extension of load side conduits and wiring, new concrete pads for panels and pedestals, new metal fabrications for new power centres
.3 Supply & Installation of new power pedestals and water service stations.
.4 Minor Concrete Repairs and replacement of overhead lighting fixtures.
Optional Items:
1. New East Side Light Standards.
2. Installation of new East side power pedestals.
FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE
Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, site remoteness, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
All work including clean-up and demobilization must be completed by December 31, 2025.
The estimated contract period will be 4 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/09/01.
