Background

The Collin County Sheriff's Office's (CCSO) mission statement is grounded in the belief that their fundamental duty is to serve and protect the citizens of Collin County with fairness, compassion, and respect. The CCSO demands excellence in the quality of their law enforcement, stressing professionalism, integrity, and timeliness, so that those they serve may feel secure. CCSO provides equal enforcement and protection of the law without prejudice or favor. CCSO promotes the setting of goals in partnership with the community, and prioritizes and addresses problems based on the concerns of the community. Committed to continuous improvement in law enforcement, CCSO promotes and utilizes the most modern techniques available.

To support its law enforcement mission, CCSO personnel utilize safety wear and protective equipment during authorized duties and operations. Deputies and authorized personnel regularly operate in environments that require reliable and durable safety gear to enhance officer protection, visibility, identification, and operational effectiveness.

While CCSO is the primary department using safety wear under this contract, additional Collin County Departments with peace officers that may use this contract include, but are not limited to, Constables, District Attorney's Office, District Courts, Juveniles, CSCD, and the Fire Marshal.
