PRE-BID MEETING (MANDATORY) A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at: Old Main Museum Meeting Room UNC Pembroke Pembroke, NC 28372 A site tour will follow. Attendance at this pre-bid meeting is mandatory; only contractors who attend will be eligible to submit a bid. This project consists of the renovation of the front facade of the Old Main Building, a replacement in kind of several elements of the historic building including the pediment, windows and doors, exterior door and window trim, floor tile, soffit ceiling, and lighting at the portico. The masonry brick will be repointed in designated areas. The column bases will be repaired. The front columns will be repaired and repainted, and all metal guardrails and handrails will be repainted. The entire masonry facade, column stone plinths, and granite steps will be cleaned. Sealed proposals, including SCO ID# 22-25729-01A and project information marked on the outside of the bid envelope, will be received by the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Pembroke, NC, in the office of Mrs. Amanda Spayd, Business Officer, Pinchbeck Facilities Building, 128A Facilities Drive, Room 104, Pembroke, North Carolina up to 3:00 pm on August 20, 2026, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read aloud in Pinchbeck Facilities Building, Conference Room 141 for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the Old Main Front Facade Renovation Project. The sealed proposals can be hand-delivered or mailed by certified mail to the addresses listed below: Delivery by hand to: UNC Pembroke Pinchbeck Facilities Building Mrs. Amanda Spayd 128A Facilities Drive, Office 104 Pembroke, NC 28372 -OR- Certified Mail to: UNC Pembroke Attn: Mrs. Amanda Spayd 1 University Drive Pembroke, NC 28372 Bids will be received for Single Prime Contractor. All proposals shall be lump sum. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
